What You'll Do

As a Pediatric Registered Nurse at Imagine Pediatrics, you are the primary point of contact for our families as you work to deeply know our patients through frequent virtual touchpoints and are the first line of defense when our patients are having a clinical problem. You leverage an integrated technology platform and are complimented by an entire interdisciplinary team including MDs, APPs, social workers, navigators, pharmacists, and dietitians. You will:

<li>Provide professional and friendly proactive care and triage for clinical issues.
</li><li>Embed a family centered care philosophy in care delivery.
</li><li>Demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity as ability to work with culturally diverse populations and seek out additional resources when needed.
</li><li>Transition of care for ED/IP/UC care coordination with clinical providers following discharge.</li>
<li>Perform a comprehensive assessment of a patient's clinical, psychosocial, discharge planning and financial needs. Establishes clinical milestones and goals related to these issues.</li>
<li>Establish rapport and a relationship with the patient and family in order to understand their needs and expectations and to assist them in setting realistic and mutual goals. Integrate an awareness of cultural factors in the patient/family interview process and elicit clinically relevant cultural information.</li>
<li>In conjunction with the physician, the patient and interdisciplinary team, establishes a comprehensive plan of care to appropriately address clinical milestones.</li>
<li>Communicate plan of care, including changes and issues related to plan of care to patient/family, physicians and other members of the healthcare team.</li>
<li>Gather sufficient information from all relevant sources to determine the effectiveness of the plan of care to assure it is done in an accurate, safe, timely and cost-effective manner.</li>
<li>Document all care management assessments and interventions.</li>
<li>Refer to Social Worker or Behavioral Health for complex psychosocial and discharge planning issues (per criteria) and ensures appropriate follow-up. Consults with other members of the interdisciplinary team (dietary, pharmacy, etc.) to provide safe discharge as appropriate.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned</li>

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in pediatric patient care, including familiarity with EMR/EHR Axxess and a strong background in various clinical settings. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes across inpatient and outpatient environments. Candidates with experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or specialty areas such as cardiology, ophthalmology, or neonatal care are highly valued. The Pediatric RN will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, compassionate care aligned with healthcare standards and regulations.Responsibilities<ul><li>Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations.</li><li>Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform venipuncture with aseptic technique.</li><li>Manage airway care, ventilator support, tube feeding, ostomy care, and catheterization procedures.</li><li>Document patient information accurately using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner while maintaining HIPAA compliance.</li><li>Provide specialized pediatric nursing interventions including neonatal ventilator management, trauma medicine, and acute pain management.</li><li>Assist with diagnostic evaluations like laboratory testing, specimen collection/processing, sonography, mammography, and medical imaging procedures.</li><li>Support discharge planning, patient education on health coaching and disease management including Alzheimer's care and dementia care.</li><li>Collaborate with physicians during procedures such as suturing or spinal taps in various settings including surgical centers or hospitals.</li><li>Participate in infection control practices and adhere to CDC guidelines for infectious disease care and sterile processing protocols.</li><li>Engage in case management activities for complex cases involving post-acute care, hospice &amp; palliative medicine, or family planning.</li><li>Ensure safe patient transfer using equipment like Hoyer lifts and assist with neonatal neonatal ventilator management when necessary.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Current RN licensure with active state registration.</li><li>Proven experience in pediatrics; neonatal ventilator experience or NICU background preferred.</li><li>Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems</li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology related to pediatric health conditions including ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and CPT coding.</li><li>Experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospitals (Level I/II trauma centers), outpatient clinics, urgent care centers, or home &amp; community care settings.</li><li>Skills in performing diagnostic evaluations including laboratory work and medical imaging techniques.</li><li>Ability to perform invasive procedures like IV insertion and catheter care confidently while maintaining aseptic technique.</li><li>Strong understanding of physiology knowledge related to pediatric patients across different age groups including toddlers and infants.</li><li>Excellent communication skills for effective patient assessment and education; experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is advantageous.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams ensuring comprehensive patient-centered care.
