Job Summary: </b>A Pipe Fitter is responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems in industrial, commercial, or residential projects. Key Responsibilities:</b> - Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout and installation of piping systems. - Cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. - Install and maintain piping systems for water, gas, oil, chemicals, and other fluids. - Inspect pipes for defects or leaks and perform maintenance, repair, or replacement as necessary. - Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications. - Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other tradespeople to complete projects on time. - Maintain records of materials used, work completed, and report progress to supervisors. - Operate and maintain pipe-fitting equipment, tools, and machinery. - Perform pressure testing on piping systems to verify integrity and safety.</p>

Qualifications / Skills:</b> - Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter in industrial, commercial, or construction settings. - Proficient with hand tools, welding equipment, and pipe-fitting machinery. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. - Knowledge of safety procedures and relevant building codes. - Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy materials and work in various environments. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Certification in pipe fitting, welding, or mechanical maintenance is an advantage.</p>

<p><b>Position Summary</b></p>
<p>Performs a variety of skilled pipe fitting tasks, including lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems. Examples of pipe systems include, but are not limited to: hydraulic, pneumatic, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, industrial production, processing systems, steam equipment, and pipe supports.</p>
<p>This job will require applicant to work outside in the presence of fumes, chemicals and dust.</p><br>

<p>Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are as follows: pipe components of the ship either repair or new builds are completed on time, to specifications, and within scope of the project 100% of the time, completes all required company training 100% of the time and follows all company policies and procedures 100% of the time.</p>
<p><b>Essential Functions</b></p>
<p>Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems. Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders and benders.</p>
<ul><li>Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading joints.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Attach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures, such as radiators or tanks, using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods, Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment, following blueprints.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Select pipe sizes and types and related materials, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to specifications.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Cut and bore holes in structures, such as bulkheads, decks, walls, and mains, prior to pipe installation, using hand and power tools.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, and related machines and equipment, following specifications and using hand and power tools, Install automatic controls used to regulate pipe systems.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Turn valves to shut off steam, water, or other gases or liquids from pipe sections, using valve keys or wrenches, Remove and replace worn components.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Prepare cost estimates for clients, Inspect work sites for obstructions and to ensure that holes will not cause structural weakness.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Operate motorized pumps to remove water from flooded manholes, basements, or facility floors.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Dip nonferrous piping materials in a mixture of molten tin and lead to obtain a coating that prevents erosion or galvanic and electrolytic action.</li></ul><br>
