The role requires strong hands-on leadership to achieve production, quality, cost, and safety targets.Responsibilities and Specific TasksMines Operation Management<ul><li>Prepare daily and weekly pit plans based on monthly production targets and plant feed requirements (tonnage and grade).</li><li>Verify benching, berms, and haul-road condition each shift; enforce pit geometry as per mining plan.</li><li>Coordinate drilling and blasting schedules with drilling engineers and blasting supervisor; approve blast patterns and timings.</li><li>Supervise loading and haulage scheduling (excavator/dumper coordination) to ensure uninterrupted Run-of-Mine material supply.</li><li>Inspect and manage Run-of-Mine material stockpiles; ensure correct segregation and stacking to avoid grade mixing.</li><li>Implement sampling and quality checks at Run-of-Mine material and transfer points; perform sieve analysis and visual checks as required.</li><li>Enforce explosives handling SOPs; ensure only certified personnel handle blasting activities.</li><li>Maintain statutory and environmental records related to mining operations.</li></ul>Crushing Plant Operation Management<ul><li>Prepare daily crushing plan (product mix and tonnage) aligned to sales orders and pit feed.</li><li>Monitor and adjust crusher settings, screen mesh (sieve) condition, conveyor speeds and feed distribution to achieve the required gradation.</li><li>Control stockpile rotation (FIFO) and ensure purchase accuracy (weighbridge tickets, documentation).</li><li>Conduct regular sieve analysis and ensure product meets specification before dispatch.</li><li>Monitor real-time production KPIs: crusher load, throughput (tph), screen efficiency, and reject rates; adjust machine parameters and shift allocations to optimise throughput.</li><li>Lead root-cause analysis for recurring throughput or quality issues and implement corrective actions.</li></ul>Operation Management and Coordination<ul><li>Maintain rolling 7-day and 30-day production plan linking Mines, Plant, Dispatch and Sales. Operation Management and Coordination.</li><li>Lead daily operations meeting (shift handover) with Mines, Plant, Dispatch, and Maintenance.</li><li>Ensure SOP adherence across Mines and Plant and update procedures as required to reflect operational improvements.</li><li>Escalate constraints (blasting, equipment failure, logistics) and propose mitigation plans.</li></ul>Quality Assurance<ul><li>Define and enforce product quality standards (size, grade, purity) through systematic sampling and testing.</li><li>Check and analyse quality issues and variations, find the root cause, and put corrective actions in place.</li><li>Maintain detailed quality logs and report KPI trends to senior management..</li></ul>Safety and Regulatory Compliance<ul><li>Enforce use of PPE and safe work practices across the quarry and plant.</li><li>Conduct daily safety checks and toolbox talks with teams.</li><li>Organise monthly safety drills and address gaps immediately.
