</b><div>Within our 300-person manufacturing facility in <b>Allendale</b> &ndash; Leprino is seeking a <b>Plant</b> <b>Production Manager </b>to help us scale dairy ingredient output while keeping safety, quality, and consistency tight. What You&rsquo;ll Do:</b></div>
<ul>
<li>Lead plant-wide production across <b>cheese</b>, <b>nutrition</b>, and <b>processing</b> teams so we hit daily plans.</li>
<li>Guiding and developing department managers and supervisors.</li>
<li>Set the daily and weekly operating cadence: direction setting, shift handoffs, escalation paths, and follow up.</li>
<li>Build the site production plan with supply chain, maintenance, and quality so priorities stay aligned.</li>
<li>Decide the run strategy and staffing plan based on capacity, constraints, and equipment readiness.</li>
<li>Review yields, losses, downtime, and sanitation performance, then assign actions with owners and dates.</li>
<li>Partner with maintenance on downtime reviews, PM priorities, and shutdown planning to stabilize throughput.</li>
<li>Oversee sanitation and food safety readiness, including microbiological controls and corrective action follow through.</li>
<li>Lead safety routines and learning after incidents so improvements stick across all shifts.</li>
<li>Plan and track labor and department budgets, balancing cost, service, and product quality.</li>
<li>Write and refresh leader standard work and training plans so expectations stay consistent across teams.</li>
<li>Build transparent, collaborative relationships across the plant so teams solve problems early.</li></ul><br>

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):</b></div>
<ul>
<li>A bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Dairy Technology, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.</li>
<li>12+ years of experience in food manufacturing, with broad exposure to production and sanitation.</li>
<li>5+ years of progressive leadership experience, including direct leadership of department managers.</li>
<li>Proficiency using manufacturing systems and standard computer tools, with the ability to learn SAP.</li>
<li>Prior experience as a Plant Production Manager or Plant Manager in a food manufacturing facility.</li>
<li>Direct leadership experience over other people managers as part of your core scope. Experience limited to frontline supervisor leadership will not align with this role.</li></ul><br>

The Opportunity:</b></div><div></div><p><br>
The Plant Manager plans, directs, coordinates, oversees production, maintenance, inventory control, safety, employee appraisals, employee operator training to ensure all policies and procedures to include MeriCal&rsquo;s SOP&rsquo;s and cGMP&rsquo;s are being adhered to. The Plant Manager will ensure all shifts are staffed accordingly to ensure all customer demands are met on time with 100% quality to meet or exceed customer expectations. The Plant Manager reports directly to the VP of Manufacturing Operations.</p><div></div><p><b><br>
What You&rsquo;ll Do:</b></p><ul><li>
Utilizes information systems for the purpose of inputting data, scheduling, inventory control, purchasing, billing, pricing, payroll and other MeriCal functions necessary to perform the job of a Plant Manager.</li><li>
Maintains valuable production records such as quality control cleaning logs, QC.</li><li>
Batch packaging sheets, and other important paperwork needed to correctly process a job through our system.</li><li>
Manages, supports, coordinates, controls and communicates all actions regarding activities in production to ensure the department is functioning effectively and efficiently to increase profitability.</li><li>
Responsible for the quality of the product being run on the production line as well as ensuring that the product is produced with the highest level of quality to meet or exceed customer expectation.</li><li>

Responsible for scheduling all jobs in the department in an effective and efficient manner that will reduce down time while increasing productivity.</li><li>
Communicate with customer service on job statues, problems or any other information needed to communicate with the customer on the status on their order.</li><li>
The Plant Manager serves multiple roles and must be able to perform several tasks to meet or exceed customer demands or other commitments or other important company issues.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
What You&rsquo;ll Bring:</b></p><ul><li>
Minimum of 8 years&rsquo; experience working in a high-volume manufacturing and packaging facility as a Plant Manager.</li><li>
Knowledge of critical computer programs is necessary to track, schedule, produce and ship high volumes of quality products.</li><li>
Possess solid leadership skills necessary to manage, direct and train all employees to be able to run an efficient operation.</li><li>
Must have first-hand knowledge of processing and packaging vitamin products and have knowledge of FDA rules and regulations as it pertains to cGMP&rsquo;s and SOP&rsquo;s.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Education Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or higher in business and operations preferably in a packaging company.</li><li>
