Job Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Design, plan, implement, and perform assessment of security controls, polices, and processes compliance with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and DoD RMF Knowledge Service guidance.</li><li>
Assist with the implementation of system security architectures.</li><li>
Provide advanced technical analyses of cyber infrastructure challenges and problems; develop/identify technical solutions responsive to customer needs.</li><li>
Participate in team reviews of technical requirements, design and implementation plans prior to deployment.</li><li>
Serve as a Cyber Security engineer (ISSE) supporting high-level technical and practical expertise.</li><li>
This position requires practical experience in developing and implementing a security baseline and must be able to communicate their significance and relevancy in a clear, detailed manner.</li></ul>
Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>
Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 8 years of relevant experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of experience, OR 4 year of experience with a PhD in a STEM discipline</li><li>
Candidate must have active/current Top Secret/SCI clearance with adjudicated Full Scope Polygraph at time of application</li><li>
Experience with requirements development, derivation, system integration &amp; test and validation and verification.</li><li>
Currently valid Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP, or similar security certification.</li><li>
Experience in configuring and implementing Rapid 7, Trellix and Splunk among other industry standard technologies.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>
DoD 8570 IAM II/III Certification (CAP, GLSC, CISSP, CASP CE).</li><li>

Primary Level Salary Range: $156,400.00 - $234,600.00

What you&rsquo;ll get to do:
As a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer from the SDS Systems Engineering Functional Homeroom, you will be expected to support large-scale, complex projects from inception to completion that span across functional organizations as a scrum master. Your daily mission is to enable high performing Scrum teams, uphold Agile best practices, and keep delivery flowing toward our business objectives. You will be expected to facilitate scrum ceremonies, maintain sprint backlogs, remove impediments, support/coach/mentor the team, track and report metrics, facilitate communication, and promote a culture of inspection &amp; adaptation.

Track key performance indicators (e.g., simulation turnaround time, defect leakage) and report trends to program management.</li><li>
Coordinate with cross-functional leads (systems engineers, test leads, software developers) to align simulation milestones with overall system-level test campaigns.</li><li>
Maintain risk registers specific to model fidelity, tool dependencies, and CI/CD pipeline stability; propose mitigation actions and update the risk log regularly.</li></ul></li></ul>
Basic Qualifications<ul><li>
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years</li><li>
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need</li><li>
Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline and 8 years of related experience; 6 years experience with a Master of Science degree; 4 year experience with a PhD</li><li>
