The incumbent in this position is responsible for supervising, surveilling and maintaining a specialized caseload consisting of youthful offenders, drug offender probation, community controlees, pre-trial intervention offenders, offender releases or any combination of the above. As workload demands require, this position may be required to supervise other types or classifications of offenders. The incumbent may also perform duties relating to the intake officer, court liaison officer, trainer and electronic monitoring device installer. This position may also direct and supervise a correctional probation officer at a probation and restitution center and may involve monitoring a residential treatment facility and being the on-site departmental representative supervising the program participants.

Chesterfield Community Corrections Services provides supervision, case management and supportive services to individuals under pretrial and local probation supervision in Chesterfield County and the City of Colonial Heights. Our probation team is seeking a qualified candidate to provide case management and court ordered supervision to individuals referred for a variety of charges. The ideal candidate for the position is passionate about working with individuals, eager to collaborate with stakeholders, and comfortable with holding individuals accountable for adhering to court ordered conditions. This caseload at any time can range from 80-120 cases.</p><p><b>
What You Do and How You Do It</b><b>:</b></p><ul><li>
Supervision of adults referred from Chesterfield Juvenile Domestic Relations Court for domestic related offenses including family and/or household violence. In addition, supervision of adults from Chesterfield Circuit and General District Courts whose offenses are domestic and/or sexual in nature.</li><li>
Supervise individuals under court ordered probation supervision who are required to complete domestic violence intervention programming and/or may have substance use disorder, mental health diagnoses, etc.</li><li>
Monitor and enforce compliance with court ordered supervision conditions and provide notifications to the court of non-compliance.</li><li>
Provide extensive and accurate written notification to Judges, Commonwealth&rsquo;s Attorneys and defense attorneys. Testify in court as required.</li><li>
Work in partnership with professionals comprising Chesterfield County&rsquo;s Coordinated Community Response to domestic violence (CCR), including law enforcement, prosecutors, victim service providers, Domestic Violence Intervention Program providers, and system-based service providers (DSS, CPS/APS, Mental Health Support Services).</li><li>
