The search will prioritize candidates who specialize in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), including but not limited to areas such as deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, reinforcement learning, ethical/trustworthy AI, and interdisciplinary applications of AI/ML in various domains. We welcome applicants whose research advances the theoretical foundations of AI/ML and/or explores novel methodologies and transformative applications that address real-world challenges.</p>

Available openings are at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor rank (tenured/tenure-track). Applicants should hold a PhD and demonstrate an outstanding track record for their career stage, in both research and teaching. This includes having publications in leading peer-reviewed journals or conferences, as well as experience in or the potential to lead research projects and secure research funding. As part of a multi-year hiring plan, we are interested in excellent candidates from Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, but may also consider other areas of Computer Science, including, but not limited to the fields where we have current strengths.<br>

The Division offers five undergraduate majors as well as graduate programs.  We are inviting applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate in the Division of Social Science at NYU Abu Dhabi from individuals who have or will soon receive a PhD in Economics or a related discipline. The appointment will begin September 1, 2026, subject to final budget approval and is available for up to three years.

 The post-doctoral associate will spend half of their time on independent research and half on collaborative projects with Professors Veda Narasimhan and Ra&uuml;l Santaeul&agrave;lia-Llopis. The collaborative work will focus on health and family economics, including projects on obesity, health insurance, and public health systems. We seek candidates who are skilled in solving quantitative macroeconomic models with heterogeneous agents, in empirical quasi-experimental analysis, or ideally in both. The candidate must have expertise in, or a strong willingness to develop expertise in, the analysis of administrative data.

 This position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual interested in policy-relevant research and in gaining experience working with both administrative data and field data.
