 Position Summary
 
 
 
 The Quality Technician supports the Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 13485 requirements. This role is responsible for performing receiving inspection, supporting Customer Notification of Change (CNOC) activities for all OEM facilities, and maintaining document control to ensure product quality, traceability, and regulatory compliance in medical device manufacturing.
 
 
 
 Principal Responsibilities

 Support the preparation and processing of Customer Notifications of Change for product, process, supplier, or documentation changes
 </li>

 Ensure CNOC documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with internal change control records
 </li>
 <li>
 Track CNOC status, including submission, customer acknowledgment, and approval timelines
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain records of customer approvals and ensure changes are not implemented prior to required approvals
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Contracts, Operations) to gather required change information
 </li>

 Assist in assessing whether changes require customer notification based on procedures and risk classification
 </li>

 Perform incoming inspection of raw materials and components per approved specifications and sampling plans

 The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $54,200.00 - $81,300.00 however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered. </div><div><div>ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

<li>Perform Incoming Inspection on items received by the vendor with the objective of moving to receiving/auditing Quality Reports from the vendor and documenting them.</li>
<li>Inspect/test parts as required, provide CAPA&rsquo;s, determine disposition, and coordinate with the appropriate departments regarding transactions (for RMA&rsquo;s and DMR&rsquo;s)</li>
<li>Create DMR&rsquo;s for nonconforming conditions, both related to receiving inspection and production floor generated. Communicate DMR&rsquo;s with suppliers and internally to appropriate disposition. Follow up to ensure DMR closure and actions are complete, such as supplier and internal corrective actions resulting from the associated DMR.</li>
<li>Create production rework orders associated with supplier products per DMR disposition, customer-returned products, or product identified during production.</li>
<li>Quarantine Locations &ndash; maintain locations by moving products in and out of quarantine locations within the AX system and compile reports on these locations</li>
<li>Perform thorough inspections on initial production from vendors, document, and file according to Micro Matic procedures utilizing the IQAF (Initial Quality Acceptance Form)</li>
<li>Production Support &ndash; Maintain QC tools in regard to inventory, calibration, and use. Also, work with engineering and production to produce and maintain training videos for production employees</li>
<li>Support the production floor with product-related quality issue resolution. This includes in-process and final product inspections.</li>
<li>Assist as required with the evaluation and disposition of products in the QA hold area to ensure timely removal and maintenance of product cost level.</li>
<li>Support the returns coordinator as required with evaluation or testing of customer returned products.</li>
<li>Perform gage calibrations on select gages, maintain all calibrated gage inventory and inventory locations utilizing Gagetrak software. Manage the issuance and receipt of gages to and from appropriate departments using Gagetrak software.</li>
<li>Help establish and maintain Golden Samples for production</li>

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for safeguarding all product quality and safety while ensuring adherence to Company and regulatory standards. The QAT ensures that the production and distribution of products always meets or exceeds all quality standards and that all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are consistently followed.

<div>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Supports all Quality personnel and all intra-plant departments in planning, implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System throughout the plant.</li>
<li>Uses engineering drawings, standards, TCF documentation and associated customer-provided information to perform precision and imprecision measurements on fabricated and machined products. Uses precision measuring test equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators. May also use dye penetrants and dry film thickness testers.</li>
<li>Analyzes results of vibration requirements to ensure tolerances and customer expectations are met.</li>
<li>Routinely inspects measurement devices for calibration control and ensures production personnel are not using measurement devices that are out of calibration. Assists with maintenance of calibration stickers and records.</li>
<li>Inspects incoming material and parts for conformity, piece counts and shipping damage using available documentation. Reports errors to the appropriate supervisor.</li>
<li>Performs in-line, first piece, and final inspections on incomplete and complete assemblies using available engineering documentation, production travelers and inspection checklists. Reports discrepancies to appropriate personnel.</li>
<li>Enters NCR data into the computer system and assists others with analyzing and maintaining existing ISO 9001:2000 quality requirements. Promotes continuous improvements for these requirements. Helps to maintain and control documents, data and other company quality documentation and administrative files as needed.</li>
<li>Assists the Quality Department with promoting and seeking out continuous improvement strategies throughout the organization.</li>
<li>Works with Quality personnel, plant and/or production management, and all production employees to identify, record and resolve in-house product defects and production inefficiencies.</li>
<li>Provides feedback and training to other employees.</li>
<li>Pending plant location, operates bridge crane or fork lift to load and unload parts as needed.</li>

QUALIFICATIONS

<li>High school diploma or GED with additional training in sheet metal manufacturing or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>

<li>Ability to interpret ISO procedures and work instructions, this may vary pending plant location.</li>
<li>Ability to understand vibration requirements; this may vary pending plant location.</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals written in English. This includes shop orders, blue prints and test sheets.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate verbally with co-workers in a productive manner. Ability to communicate with people in various roles, i.e., managers, customers, etc.</li>
<li>Ability to use and interpret readings on precision measuring test equipment such as calipers, micrometers, etc.</li>
<li>Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measure including whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Ability to read a tape measure and read graphs and tables.</li>
