<br>This is the entry-level class in the Solid Waste Equipment Operator classifications. This class works under general supervision, performs routine tasks, semi-skilled and/or skilled tasks in the operation of front-loaders, roll-offs, side-loaders, rear-loaders, or similar equipment, and performs heavy manual labor for collecting, transporting, and disposing of solid waste materials from residential and commercial sources. Manual work and heavy lifting is also performed. Troubleshoot, repair, and install vessel systems and components including but not limited to: electrical, electronics, HVAC, plumbing &amp; water systems (fresh, salt, and waste), gas and diesel engines</li><li>
Assign parts and purchases to the appropriate vessels/tickets</li><li>

Availability to work overtime in order to meet deadlines</li><li>

Technical and Physical Requirements</b></p>
<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent preferred</li><li>
Technical school training preferred</li><li>
5 years&rsquo; experience preferred</li><li>
ABYC and/or manufacturer certifications preferred</li><li>
Ability to ascend and descend a ladder</li><li>
Must carry own tools</li><li>
Ability to work in confined spaces</li><li>
Ability to lift 50 pounds</li><li>
Basic boat handling skills preferred</li><li>
Experience with outboards, gas and diesel engines preferred</li><li>
Any skills considered standard that a Technician should possess</li></ul><br>
