The Explosive Detection K9 Handler partners with a trained Explosive Detection Canine (EDC), or &ldquo;K9&quot;, to conduct searches in/at assigned client sites, including corporate buildings, loading docks, delivery vehicles, open areas and/or other situations as needed. 
RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Assist and liaise effectively with the client's security manager, law enforcement agencies, security personnel, and local partners or their representatives in the execution of the security protocols as agreed to and described in the specific post orders for each post</li>
<li>Properly train the Explosive Detection K9, in accordance with Company policy, each day and ensuring their safety and well-being</li>
<li>Adhere to all regulatory or other protocols, including the use of any required technology</li></ul>
QUALIFICATIONS:

LA Armed Guard Card preferred.</li><li>
This is a driving post. Must have a Valid DL and a good MVR.</li></ul>
 JOB DESCRIPTION:
Role:<ul><li>
Armed security officer (must pass Armed training, have valid pistol permit).</li></ul>
 Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Ability to work Weekends (Saturday and Sunday).</li><li>
A curious nature that helps you to remain aware of the activities around you.</li><li>
Provide excellent customer service, assisting and addressing the concerns of visitors and employees.</li><li>
The ability to remain calm, solve problems, and act effectively in a critical situation.</li><li>
Conduct regular walking patrols to improve the safety of individuals and proactively identify and report security concerns.</li><li>
Monitor facility access points, employing verification procedures to authenticate the identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting premises, in support of a secure environment.</li><li>
Maintain precise and detailed logs documenting activities, incidents, and notable observations, facilitating comprehensive reporting and analysis for enhanced security measures.</li><li>
Must have basic computer experience and the ability to use a tablet to conduct security reports.</li><li>
Enforce security procedures in the relevant Security Post Instruction.</li><li>
Execute routine tasks with proficiency, such as securely locking and unlocking doors, activating, and deactivating security systems, and diligently monitoring surveillance feeds for signs of potential threats or breaches.</li><li>
Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and other incidents, utilizing appropriate actions and established protocols.</li><li>
Always look professional in a clean and pressed uniform.?</li><li>
Informs and ensures compliance of SEI and Clients policies, such as smoking, loitering, parking violations, etc.?</li></ul>
 Supervisory Responsibilities: No
Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>
This role requires you to operate a motor vehicle. You must have and maintain a valid driver&rsquo;s license from your state of residence for this role</li><li>
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays</li></ul>

Minimum Physical Requirements:<ul><li>
Stand and sit for long periods of time</li><li>
Walk a minimum of &frac12; mile without stopping</li><li>
Climb a minimum of 20 common commercial facility stairs without stopping</li></ul>
Education &amp; Experience:<ul><li>
Minimum:</li><li>
Education: HS Diploma or equivalent</li><li>
Experience: None</li><li>
Preferred:</li><li>
Education: HS Diploma or equivalent</li><li>
Experience: 1+ Year Armed Security</li></ul>
