As a Senior Financial Analyst within the Sotheby's Global Finance Team you will support the controllership function for Sotheby's Financial Services.</p>

The Senior Financial Analyst will prepare routine journal entries including processing of cash transactions, prepare bank and other balance sheet reconciliations, and contribute to the preparation of the balance sheet and P&amp;L monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting. Additionally, support the AVP, Assistant Controller to partner closely with department leaders. </b></p><p></p><ul><li><p><b>Complete ownership of accounting and reconciliations; ensures accuracy and timeliness.
</b></p></li><li><p><b>Manages monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information; ensures accuracy of financial statements.

</b></p></li><li><p><b>Assist accountants and controllers with A/P issues or problems.
</b></p></li><li><p><b>Review and process invoices along with providing the resolutions for the invoices and releasing the invoices for Payment.

</b></p></li><li><p><b>Maintain exception logs for process related exception as and when they occur for knowledge retention.

</b></p><p></p><ul><li><p><b>Identify and rectify unidentified cash and manage end to end process of Cash office reconciliations.
</b></p></li><li><p><b>Identify exceptions in cash office reconciliations and follow up with store for proper closure.
</b></p></li><li><p><b>Report Cash short / Long and send for payroll recovery for amount above threshold as per Policy.
</b></p></li><li><p><b>Work closely with Merchants for credit card settlement issues and charge backs.
</b></p></li><li><p><b>Follow up on customer/internal disputes, customer questions and working between departments to get a resolution.
</b></p></li><li><p><b>Making collection calls to the customers, emailing/faxing invoices or getting hard copies mailed out to customers as per their requests.
