Position Summary
<br>Assumes responsibilities of competently performing routine water lab analyses as assigned with degree of proficiency. Will be required to learn additional testing procedures and will be assigned additional tasks as needs arise. Will be responsible for assisting with the workload of others to ensure that analyses are being performed in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities
<br><ul>
<li>Performs routine chemical and/or biological analyses on water, wastewater, and related samples as assigned.</li>
<li>Prepares and maintains an adequate stock of chemical solutions and standards.</li>
<li>Operates various lab specific software such as Microsoft Office Suite, instrument-specific software and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Performs first line of data review to ensure accuracy of data and associated information.</li>
<li>Maintains and troubleshoots equipment in laboratory to ensure the accuracy of measurements and the proper cleanliness and functional operation of that piece of equipment.</li>
<li>Adheres to guidelines set out by methods, SOP’s, OM’s, and general lab practice policies.</li>
<li>Keeps work area clean and free of clutter.</li>
<li>Assists other laboratory personnel with their workload as needed to ensure analyses are completed in a timely manner. Assist in a manner that is most advantageous and efficient in performance of given tasks.</li>
<li>Observes safe work practices through the use of proper safety precautions and procedures.</li>
