As a Special Education Teacher, you will lead the instructional process for students in Grades K-5 with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), designing dynamic and personalized learning experiences within the learning center and/or classroom. ‖ Qualifications Required:

<li>Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining one or more of the following NC state professional educator credentials in special education/exceptional children:

Role Mission: IDEA Special Education teachers are responsible for the achievement and support of special education. Special Education teachers develop individualized plans and work with students who have a wide range of learning, cognitive, emotional, and physical disabilities. They provide in-class support for various subjects, such as reading, writing, and math, to students with outlined service minutes support. They also teach content mastery for students with outlined accommodations and service minutes support. The IDEA Special Education teacher provides the crucial bridge between home and school for our highest need students and their families.

Compensation:
<ul><li>The starting teacher salary for 0 years of experience is $59,500. This role is eligible for various stipends based on certifications, credentials, and campus leadership ranging from $500-$4,000 each. We also offer additional performance-based compensation. REPORTS TO: Principal 
The Teacher Assistant reports directly to the Principal or designee and works under their guidance and supervision. This role requires the Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Foundation training certificate and/or willingness to work towards the Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards (RIELDS) based curriculum.
