Job Purpose:

The Store Stocker is responsible for receiving and stocking Automotive parts. The ideal candidate should be able to move and think quickly, able to bend at the waist and knees and climb a short ladder to reach top shelves. 


Key Job Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Reads customer&rsquo;s order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.</li>
<li>Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to storage to other designated areas.</li>
<li>Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.</li>
<li>Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders in pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.</li>
<li>Marks materials with identifying information. Open boxes, crates, and other containers.</li>
<li>Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.</li>
<li>Weighs or counts items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.</li>
<li>Uses computer to enter records.</li>
<li>Prepares parcels for mailing and shipment via common carrier.</li>
<li>Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.</li></ul> 


Requirements:

<li>High school Diploma</li>
<li>Attention to detail</li>
<li>0 to 3 years working in a warehouse</li>
<li>Good to above-average computer skills</li>
<li>Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures preferred</li>
<li>Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Some overtime may be required</li>
<li>Must be able to pass a criminal background and drug screen</li></ul>

<ul><li>Properly utilizes the point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately scan and process customer purchases and informs store management of scanning concerns or errors.</li><li>Adheres to cash policies and procedures.</li><li>Follows the line policy and opens additional check lanes as required to ensure an efficient checkout.</li><li>Complete curbside pickup orders by accurately retrieving items from the store, verifying order contents, and ensuring timely delivery to customers&rsquo; vehicles from the staging area.</li></ul>

Stocker Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Stocks shelves and displays neatly while following merchandising planograms to maximize sales.</li><li>Stockers must be able to arrive to work as early as 5:00am.</li></ul>

Physical Demands:
<ul><li>Required to push, pull, sit, stand, reach, grasp, twist, bend, and move from one area to another.</li><li>Required to lift, carry, and place product weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights, including overhead.</li><li>Required to operate equipment such as a cash register, electric and manual hand jacks, floor scrubber and cardboard baler.</li><li>Required to stock product in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments.</li><li>Required to use glass and multipurpose cleaning products.</li></ul>
