The Nursing Pathway coordinator is responsible for managing the nursing pathways for pre-licensure BSN. This role will help the expansion and diversification of Spalding University's nursing student population and geographical reach. This position follows students in the pathway from initial admission to the university to admission to the nursing program thus requires advising and creating course schedule planners for the students. The pathway coordinator works closely with the School of Nursing, the Admissions Office, and offices across campus to support the progression of pre-licensure students into the professional licensure nursing programs, such as traditional and accelerated second degree.
</p><p>Salary/Hourly wage for this position is $50,000 yearly with a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical coverage, 403b, 23 Paid Time Off days, 21 Holidays, tuition remission, travel reimbursement, cellphone allowance, and much more. This position is funded by a Department of Labor grant and position may be contingent on continued grant funding.

</li></ul><p></p><p><b>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p><p><b>
Using a proactive and holistic approach, the Nursing Pathway Coordinator will assist students in their course progression, planning, and preparation for the professional licensure nursing programs.
</b></p><ul><li>Act as liaison with Admissions, Marketing, and Nursing Faculty to address concerns, student needs, and share data.</li><li>
Provides monthly or quarterly reports to Pathway quarterly meetings as required by the grant.
</li><li>Accompany Admissions on recruitment events as requested.</li><li>
May require occasional weekends or evenings for informational events (BeSU, Open House, etc)</li><li>
Established contact with each student admitted to Spalding University interested in BSN nursing degree (Accelerated Second Degree or traditional nursing programs). Complete progression pathways for each student, conduct consistent contact with students in pathway and advise students along the pathway</li><li>
Advise students individually regarding academic core and/or department requirements, appropriate class selection, academic policies and procedures, and campus resources.</li><li>
Assist students from point of enrollment to the start of Nursing classes in meeting requirements for admission into upper-division nursing program, utilizing tools such as Slate.</li><li>
Refer students to campus resources and conduct follow-up as needed.</li><li>
Reduce student stop-out gap by communicating with Student and Academic Success staff on barriers to student success and providing students with timely interventions if/when they encounter barriers.</li><li>
Provide advising for prospective transfer students regarding program requirements and graduation requirements. Identify students who are prepared to make application to the upper-division of the School of Nursing, and assist the SON with compiling materials for admissions review.

<p>Bridgeway Academy is seeking a full-time Academic Advisor to support the Academic &amp; Applied Programs through oversight of student programming, compliance, and staff support. This role collaborates with internal teams and district partners to manage IEP and ETR processes, high school scheduling, graduation tracking, and adherence to ODEW requirements. This position works with our middle school and high school students.</p><p>The position also supports supplemental programming, including credit recovery, College Credit Plus, and transition planning, while coordinating communication, meetings, and documentation with external partners. <br>Coordinates with internal recruitment, admissions, and financial aid departments to provide comprehensive support to Department of Corrections (DOC) Education Directors and institutional staff.Student Advising: Performs a comprehensive model of academic advising for current students. Presents group workshops and provides individual advising sessions. Serves as a resource for Pathway/Program faculty who advise students. Assesses scores/GPA as appropriate. Reviews transcript and program plans. Teaches students how to register for courses in alignment with course availability and program changes that are supportive of the student’s ability as well as academic, financial, and career plans while applying an equity of treatment with all student concerns. Advises students on academic decisions and career development, including effects of dropping courses and/or changing programs, referring students to Financial Aid specialists as appropriate. Clarifies Academic Plan and other planning documents to students.Education Planning Leadership: Assesses strengths and weaknesses in students’ academic, career, and personal development by identifying factors that enhance or prevent academic progress. Examines alternatives based on changing goals, academic progress and/or personal situation. Interprets non-cognitive assessment results to guide students to establish realistic academic and career goals. Remains current and knowledgeable of MATC transfer credit policies, agreements and graduation requirements for Pathway programs to better assist planning. Stays current on general Financial Aid processes to inform recommendations for education planning.Academic Monitoring and Success Planning: Assess strengths and weaknesses in students’ academic, career, and personal development by identifying factors that enhance or prevent academic progress; examine alternatives based on changing goals, academic progress or personal situation; interpret non-cognitive assessment results to guide students to establish realistic academic and career goals. Counsels suspended academic pathway students and completes a Monitored Academic Plan (MAP) that includes courses and a corrective action plan. Collaborates with the Retention Coaches to facilitate workshops for students on suspension that includes information on academic policies, academic and non-academic resources. Understands and explains procedures and implications that support Financial Aid recipients who are suspended.Resource Guidance: Identifies and refers students in need of additional academic resources, career planning, personal or financial counseling, and/or special needs to appropriate Pathway team member(s) (i.e. Pathway Retention Coach) or other college office(s). Guides students to access college resources, including navigating the student portal to attain self-sufficiency in college transactions. Uses appropriate tools and software to generate and maintain applicable, accurate student reports that are student specific, meeting summaries and tracking notes.Data and Reporting: Use EAB Navigate and Ellucian tools as well as collaborate with Pathway team to utilize data identifying students who benefit from services as well as participate in re-enrollment campaigns and strategies. Use appropriate tools and software to generate and maintain applicable, accurate student reports that are student specific; meeting summaries and tracking notes.Customer Service and Engagement: Ensures delivery of excellent customer service, including face-to-face, telephone, on-line communication and web-conferencing. Work with the Pathway team to ensure delivery of accurate information of all College services. Collaborates with Pathway Dean to help plan and deliver new student orientations, including oversight of online orientations and success workshops.
