This Individual will serve as the Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) for the Metals Commodity. This individual will own the supplier relationships for the assigned supplier group within the Metals Commodity category under the leadership of the Sr. Metals Commodity Manager. This individual will support the Metals Commodity strategy formulation and execution. This position is part of the Integrated Supply Chain Organization and will be on-site at either our Deland, FL, or New Port Richey, FL facilities.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:<ul><li>
Supplier Relationship Management (40%): identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct supplier assessments, attend supplier meetings/visits, maintain strong relationships with key suppliers via SBR&rsquo;s, collaborate with the cross-functional teams (including engineering, manufacturing, materials, quality), LTA&rsquo;s/MSA&rsquo;s negotiate and manage contract administration, improve Supplier OTD, and support site Inventory Target management.</li><li>
Commodity/ Category Management (30%): Project funnel ideation and execution, own Strategic Sourcing visual management (DVM), stay updated on emerging technologies/materials/best practices in Metals commodities and supply chain management, monitor market trends &amp; industry developments to identify opportunities for innovation/cost savings/risk mitigation, partner with Supplier Quality to execute supplier qualifications (FAIR, PPAP, etc.), optimize Supply Chain design to maximize adherence to DMS principles and IMAG</li><li>
Customer (Internal &amp; External) Relationship Management (15%): collaborate with Ops, R&amp;D, Engineering, Quality, Sales, Product Management, support external customers as necessary, and drive OTD</li><li>
Location Strategy Execution (15%): Delivery of the Metals Commodity Strategy</li><li>

The essential requirements of the job include:<div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field preferred, with 3+ years of experience; OR no degree with 5+ years of experience in Sourcing, Purchasing, or Supplier Relationship Management.</li><li>
Proven track record of negotiating contracts, reducing costs, and improving supplier performance.</li></ul></div><ul><li>
Ability to travel up to 25% including some limited international travel</li></ul>
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:<ul><li>
2+ years demonstrated focus on Metals commodities and strong knowledge of the Metals market, including materials, processes, pricing dynamics, and supplier landscape.</li><li>

This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. The annual salary range for this role is $90k-$120k. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

The Business Manager is the relationship owner for the Amazon Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) Device Manufacturing Services suppliers that provide co-development resources, procure components, design, manufacture and test digital devices in the Emerging Products space. In this capacity the Business Manager has the responsibility to: 
 
<ul><li>Lead the sourcing, selection, contract negotiation and management of one or more EMS suppliers in alignment with the overarching EMS strategy and within the Integrated Management System. Ensure a competitive sourcing environment leading to continuous improvement in Engr. Services, Line Readiness, Quality, Business Management, Contract management and adherence, delivery, cost and social responsibility.</li></ul>
 
<ul><li>Actively engage the Device Operations and Engineering organizations with the EMS suppliers on one or more products/product lines to achieve the programmatic objectives.</li></ul>
 
<ul><li>Lead the commercial and contractual aspects of the relationship and drive multifunctional teams relative to EMS Suppliers involvement.

<ul><li>Leading the EMS supplier Performance Management and leading cross-functional business reviews.</li></ul>
 
This requires that the Business Manager be both an advocate for the supplier within Lab126 and be their harshest critic to ensure the best possible performance. Upon success, the Business Manager will instill a forward-thinking collaborative and mutually-beneficial long-term relationship with a holistic point of view, not just a product or single supplier perspective &ndash; a business owner. These high profile responsibilities require significant breadth and business acumen as the responsibilities are very diverse and impactful: 
 
Technical - Solid understanding of the EMS supplier landscape and capabilities in addition to Digital Device technologies and manufacturing / testing methodologies. Drive EMS Supplier relationships to ensure Amazon content is integrated in a way that supports our brand. 
 
Negotiation Skills &ndash; Lead all commercial discussions related to EMS relationships. Able to negotiate best in class contract pricing, terms and conditions on large contracts with suppliers who are exceptionally skilled at protecting thin margins. Exercise good judgement in knowing when and how best to address issues or drive change.
 
 
Contract Management &ndash; Ensure that the suppliers execute and adhere to the contracts and renegotiate whenever possible to realize benefits from bundling work with Strategic Suppliers. This is not limited to dollars but being able to protect Amazon&rsquo;s bottom line in all aspects &ndash; IP, indemnity, confidentiality, etc. as these are all crucial to how Amazon is able to have successful launches (products that &ldquo;wow&rdquo; the customer). In the case of an EMS relationship ensure that the contracts protect Amazon&rsquo;s brand and meet customer requirements. 
 
Financial &ndash; Responsible for managing the business relationship including contracts, pricing, terms and conditions and claims. Must be an effective negotiator. The value of these supplier engagements can reach the billion-dollar level.
 
 
Relationship Builder &ndash; Have the ability to engage, influence and arbitrate both the supplier and the Lab126 stakeholder organizations at the operational and Sr. Executive levels. Build excellent business cases and have executive presence. 
 
About the team 
Devices Business Management (DBM) is responsible for the business relationship with the EMS Suppliers. The DBM team is structured by Business Managers, CapEx Business Managers, Advanced Sourcing, Strategy leads and Implementation lead based in in different geographies. The team collaborates cross functionally with Product Operations, Engineering, Quality, legal and Finance throughout product life cycle to innovate, design for cost and quality ensuring timely delivery</div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"> 
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS</h2><ul><li>6+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience</li><li>6+ years of professional or military experience</li><li>Bachelor's degree</li><li>Knowledge of publisher ad tech stacks and/or advertising technology</li><li>Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level</li><li>Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules</li><li>Experience selling enterprise software or cloud-based applications</li><li>Experience explaining complex technical concepts to various business and technical audiences</li><li>Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical executive audiences</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
