The IT Support Specialist earns a competitive salary of $22.92-24.81 per hour based on qualifications. Additionally, the city pays all premiums for our employees' dental, long-term disability protection, and life insurance plus the majority portion of the medical premium for employees and their dependents. Essential Job Functions:<ul><li>
Answers calls for tech support; answers the IT emergency line and calls or emails for support.</li><li>
Implements IT projects for departments within the City.</li><li>
Installs and upgrades software for users and vendors; performs upkeep, management, and administration of IT systems.</li><li>
Gathers information and data for various IT projects to increase user efficiency; creates new and updated workplace tools.</li><li>
Presents IT information and guidance that could lead to actionable events or purchases.</li><li>
Provides information and guidance on how to effectively complete departmental tasks from a technological perspective.</li><li>
Enforces IT policies and procedures.</li><li>
You will provide technical support to all users and systems within the City of Pearland.</li></ul>
Education, Certifications, and Experience:<ul><li>
Requires an Associate's Degree or specialized courses/training equivalent to the satisfactory completion of two years of college in information technology or a closely related field.</li><li>
Requires two years of information technology support or closely related experience.</li><li>
One year of Audio-Visual experience preferred</li></ul> 
Special Certifications and Licenses:<ul><li>
