<p><b>Position Summary</b></p><p>The UPS Technical Engineer will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of UPS systems, battery banks, and voltage stabilizers at customer sites. This role requires strong hands-on experience, good electrical knowledge, and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently at the field level.</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><p>1. Installation &amp; Commissioning</p><ul><li>Install UPS systems of various capacities (single-phase and three-phase).</li><li>Install and connect battery banks, including VRLA/SMF batteries.</li><li>Install and configure voltage stabilizers and related electrical equipment.</li><li>Perform cable termination, panel connections, battery wiring, and breaker connections.</li><li>Ensure proper earthing, isolation, and load test procedures during commissioning.</li><li>Verify correct settings, calibrations, and system parameters before handover.</li></ul><p>2. Preventive &amp; Corrective Maintenance</p><ul><li>Conduct preventive maintenance for UPS and battery systems as per schedule.</li><li>Check battery health (voltage, internal resistance, specific gravity if applicable).</li><li>Identify and replace faulty components: rectifiers, inverters, fans, controllers, breakers, batteries.</li><li>Respond to emergency breakdown calls and carry out corrective maintenance.</li><li>Validate alarms, logs, and event history to detect issues.</li><li>Maintain stability and reliability of the UPS power environment.</li></ul><p>3. Troubleshooting &amp; Repair</p><ul><li>Diagnose issues in UPS systems (no output, bypass failure, charging failure, overheating).</li><li>Identify issues in battery banks (swollen batteries, leakage, imbalance, corrosion).</li><li>Troubleshoot stabilizers, AVR units, and power-related faults.</li><li>Coordinate with OEM support for advanced diagnostics when required.</li></ul><p>4. Documentation &amp; Reporting</p><ul><li>Prepare installation reports, service reports, and preventive maintenance checklists.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of battery readings, system parameters, replacement parts, and site observations.</li><li>Provide feedback to the technical manager regarding recurring issues or component failures.</li><li>Ensure all documentation is completed and shared on time after each site visit.</li></ul><p>5. <p><b>Your mission</b></p>
<p>
As Substation Electrical Engineer in our Transmission &amp; Distribution department, you will assist the Resident Engineer in supervising electrical works for high-voltage substations. You will ensure that construction activities are carried out in compliance with the contract documents, drawings, method statements, and industry standards. Your role will focus on site inspections, contractor coordination, and ensuring quality and safety during project execution.</p>

<p><b>Your key responsibilities</b></p>
<ul><li>Assist the Resident Engineer in day-to-day supervision of substation electrical works.</li><li>Conduct regular site inspections to verify contractor performance and compliance with drawings and approved methods.</li><li>Liaise with all technical disciplines and attend Site Technical Coordination Meetings.</li><li>Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and construction-related documents.</li><li>Monitor and witness construction and testing activities to ensure contract compliance.</li><li>Support final inspections, completion certification, and handover of works.</li><li>Ensure effective implementation of safety measures on site.</li></ul>

<p><b>Your qualifications</b></p>
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Electrical Engineering (approved by relevant authorities).</li><li>Minimum 8 years&rsquo; experience in electrical engineering projects, with proven experience in substation works.</li><li>Previous OETC approval is preferred.</li></ul>
