The Contact Center Advocate assesses each victim&rsquo;s situation relative to lethality and service needs to provide appropriate referrals. The Advocate is responsible for developing an excellent working relationship with other HRM programs and its staff, to ensure the timely, effective and seamless provision of services.</div> 

This position is a full time member of the Contact Center team and is considered an essential staff position, required to work in weather emergencies and holidays as needed. Contact Center staff are expected to be flexible, with up to 25% adjustment from regular work schedules at times to cover essential crisis services. The standard schedule for this position Monday-Wednesday 11am-7pm, Friday 4pm-12am, Saturday 2pm-10pm. Primary worksite is the Administration Building in Baltimore City, but this position may work through remote technology based on program need. The Contact Center Advocate is a sedentary position primarily working independently and in front of a screen. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Requirements:

The DV Client Advocate must successfully complete 60-hour New Jersey State Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate and Domestic Violence Response Team training provided by Services Empowering Rights of Victims (SERV).
</li><li>Advocates have experience working with people, especially on a one-to-one basis, and demonstrated sensitivity toward the needs of individuals affected by domestic violence. Effective verbal and written communication skills and public speaking is required.
</li><li>A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice or Human Services is preferred. Work experience may substitute for education on a year-to-year basis.</li><li>

The Comprehensive Case Manager provides structured, trauma-informed case management and ongoing support for children and families impacted by abuse. This role focuses on stabilization, engagement, and continuity of services following the initial forensic interview, ensuring families remain supported throughout the investigation and healing process. The Comprehensive Case Manager conducts trauma and suicide screenings, develops and implements individualized Family Service Plans, and provides consistent follow-up to address barriers, strengthen caregiver capacity, and support families during critical periods such as therapy waitlists and case progression. This role serves as a central point of support for families while collaborating closely with CAC services and multidisciplinary team partners to promote access, engagement, and overall family stability.

You will need to leave within 30 minutes and respond as soon as possible.</li><li>Act as an Advocate and Facilitator of the Safe Haven Intervention Program (SHIP) in the NCRCT office.</li><li>The Part-time on-call team are responsible for covering all agency Holidays.</li><li>To provide crisis intervention, follow up, referral, advocacy and accompaniment for clients.</li><li>Respond in-person to law enforcement agencies, hospitals &amp; other partner agencies throughout Del Norte County</li><li>To answer the crisis line, handle basic inquiries, respond to requests for information</li><li>To record services provided in a timely and complete manner</li><li>To ensure a warm hand-off (case) with your teammates when your shift ends, if needed</li><li>To attend case management meetings (Monday from 9-10am) via zoom, staff meetings and In-service trainings</li><li>To maintain positive, equitable and professional relationships with co-workers/other</li><li>professionals</li><li>To communicate with immediate supervisor any concerns or feedback</li><li>To perform other tasks as directed by the supervisor</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS &amp; SKILLS REQUIRED:<ul><li>Commitment to the prevention and intervention of sexual assault, (healing can happen)</li><li>Commitment to the empowerment of people and to unlearning oppression</li><li>Must be able to work weekend and holiday hours</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Good listening and communication skills and/or counseling experience desirable</li><li>Multicultural experience highly desirable</li><li>Successfully complete initial 70 Hours of state certified Crisis Training; complete 8 hours of ongoing training each year.</li><li>Ability to remain calm in a crisis</li><li>Ability to act clearly, knowledgeably and assertively in a crisis situation</li><li>Ability to interact sensitively, and professionally and without discrimination with clients, co-workers, all community agencies and personnel in the criminal justice system</li><li>Ability to take direction, work independently and in cooperation with others, in an organized, self-motivated, efficient manner</li><li>Must have means and capacity to drive a vehicle; transportation of survivors may be required</li><li>Willingness to sign a waiver authorizing NCRCT to complete a background check</li><li>Valid California Driver's License and Proof of Insurance</li></ul>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB:All of the job functions listed above, to greater or lesser degrees, involve the following physical demands: Close vision, hearing/listening, clear speech, good manual dexterity and fine motor coordination, physical mobility and flexibility.
