Position Summary
<br>Under the direction of a Lead Wastewater Plant Operator(s), and/or Plant Supervisor (depending on the size and scope of the facility), the Wastewater Plant Operator II performs and plans the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of wastewater facilities and associated systems including, but not limited to, headworks, liquids treatment, solids handling, odor control, structures, SCADA, and lift stations. This position performs a variety of work assignments to ensure asset condition, water quality, and health and safety standards are met or exceeded; and performs and/or supervises related work as required to ensure efficient and effective facility operations.

This includes loading of drum trucks and bulk tankers<br/>Sampling of wastewater discharges for monthly reporting<br/>Minor troubleshooting of equipment, pumps, valves. Ability to create maintenance work orders through MAXIMO system<br/>Complete monthly air monitoring of equipment and components to comply with site's LDAR program<br/>Interface with other site departments as needed to complete day to day operations<br/></p><p>In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:<br/></p><p>Massachusetts Wastewater License 3-I (Industrial) [or higher]<br/>Perform material handling operations, including being able to become certified and operate a fork truck<br/>Heavy lifting and pulling (up to 50lbs)<br/>Climbing stairs and ladders (greater than 20ft high)<br/>Mechanical and computer aptitude<br/>Ability to flex schedule for shift coverage and be on call 24/7 for emergency response<br/></p><p>The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:<br/></p><p>Experience in Municipal or Industrial Wastewater Plant<br/>Experience in a Chemical Manufacturing plant setting<br/>Knowledge of hazardous waste management and handling practices for a large quantity generator<br/>Knowledge of air permitting and air abatement equipment<br/></p><p>In more than 100 countries, the people of Ashland LLC.
