<p></p><div><div>As a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator, you will perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the overall operation of the WWTP, including 15 sewage lift stations throughout Fort Indiantown Gap and adjacent connected municipalities. The WWTP is operational 365 days a year. Work hours are 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work rotating weekends and holidays.</li><li><b>

Successful completion of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) program and certification as a wastewater treatment plant operator for any class and type of plant; <b>or</b></li><li>
Possession of a valid certification issued by the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators as a wastewater treatment plant operator for any class and type of plant.</li></ul><div></div><b><br>
Special Requirements:</b><ul><li>
You must be in possession of a valid certification issued by the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater System Operators as a wastewater treatment plant operator that is equal to or greater than a Class B, Subclass E, 1 and 4 Certification.</li><li>
You must be in possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.</li></ul><br>

4. Performs minor maintenance and emergency repairs to equipment to ensure continued waste management operations, such as lubrication, chemical feed line cleaning/replacement, reset breakers/equipment and pumper truck fitting/connections. Contacts maintenance group for major overhauls and repairs. Performs necessary housekeeping to maintain safe working conditions. Operates company vehicles and equipment in support of waste management responsibilities.<br>
5. Collects and maintains records related to the regulated waste and wastewater operational duties of the operator.<br>
6. Operates vacuumed pumper trucks and trailers and dispositions all wastewater in compliance with Regulatory Permits and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Pump items such as: Industrial tanks, containment, storm water, Chiller/Tower cleaning, utility line leaks, excavation, sanitary clean up, building flooding, etc. Performs maintenance, such as tank, pump, and filter cleanings.<br>
7. Follow direction given by an Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) and in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), in accordance Colorado Regulation 5 CCR 1003-2 100.<br>

If hired at the I, II, or III level, possession of a valid Grade I, II or III Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator's certificate issued by the State of California, respectively, and a valid California Class B Driver&rsquo;s License NO restrictions for Air Brakes and Tanker endorsements is required at the time of appointment.<div></div><b><br>
THE POSITION:</b> Under close supervision, operates and maintains <b>Laguna County Sanitation District (LCSD) wastewater treatment plant facilities</b>, including collection systems, such as pump stations, conveyance lines, and manholes; treatment systems, such as pumps, gauges, tanks, and automatic switches; and disposal systems, such as effluent irrigation piping, pumps, valves, and storage facilities; and performs related duties as required.<div></div><div><b><br>
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS</b>: The LCSD wastewater treatment plant is a Class IV tertiary plant. Incumbents in this technician series may flex from the Trainee through III classes upon meeting established experience requirements and obtaining the appropriate grade certification issued by the State Water Resources Control Board, and also upon obtaining appropriate licensing from the California Department of Motor Vehicles.</div><b><br>

Wastewater Plant Operator, Trainee</b> is the trainee-level class in this series. Incumbents receive on-the-job training and are not required to have previous experience or certification. Incumbents are also expected to pass the SWRCB&rsquo;s exam for Grade I certification after one year but before the completion of two years of experience.</div><div><br>

<div><p><b>Amentum</b> is seeking a <b>Wastewater Plant Operator </b>to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission on <b>Andros Island, Bahamas</b>. AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport's largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments. <b>Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.</b></p><p></p><p><b>
Essential Responsibilities:</b></p><ul>
<li><p>
Operate the 120,000 gallon per day for wastewater systems, including the plant and polishing ponds.</p></li>
<li><p>
Perform work on wastewater systems in accordance with MAXIMO generated work plans for preventative and corrective maintenance.</p></li>
<li><p>
Read and comprehend system technical manuals, drawings and blueprints.</p></li>
<li><p>
Perform receipt, issue, storage, spill cleanup, preventative maintenance scheduling, and hazardous waste quality surveillance operations.</p></li>
<li><p>
Performs work in accordance with OSHA, NAVOSH and company quality and safety standards, hazardous material control and hazardous waste management program and plan.</p></li>
<li><p>
Installs and maintains electrical/mechanical pumps and motors and performs pump to motor alignments.</p></li>
<li><p>
Prepare reports and records with accuracy in a timely manner including the daily turn in of completed MAXIMO generated tasks and contractually required reports.</p></li>
<li><p>
Research and prepare requisitions to acquire the parts and materials to perform the necessary repairs.</p></li>
</ul><p></p><p><b>
Minimum Requirements:</b></p><ul>
<li><p>
High School Diploma or equivalent.</p></li>
<li><p>
3-5 years hands on experience with wastewater treatment plant maintenance and operations.</p></li>
<li><p>
Must have a current state Wastewater Plant Operator License.</p></li>
<li><p>
Must obtain HAZWOPPER certification within 12 months of hire.</p></li>
<li><p>
Strong knowledge of applicable mechanical, plumbing and other technical functions involved in maintenance and operation of wastewater treatment plants.</p></li>
<li><p>
Strong knowledge of the materials, tools, and equipment used for the maintenance and operation of water/wastewater plants.</p></li>
<li><p>
Read and understand technical/repair manuals and blueprints.</p></li>
<li><p>
Computer literate - Windows computer applications, including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.</p></li>
<li><p>
Must be physically able to climb stairs &amp; ladders or elevated tanks, climb in and around water piping and access confined spaces for inspection purposes.</p></li>
<li><p>
Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds of supplies of varying types.</p></li>
<li><p>
Excellent oral and written communication skills.</p></li>
<li><p><b>
Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.</b></p></li>
<li><p><b>
A valid U.S. passport and driver's license is required.</b></p></li>
<li><p><b>
