Pay rate: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour, based on experience and performance

Job Summary

Heath Outdoor is hiring part-time, seasonal team members to assist with the installation of annual flowers and seasonal plantings at client properties. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on, outdoor work and take pride in creating clean, vibrant planting displays.

This is a temporary, project-based position with work concentrated around specific season installation windows. Additional hours may be available before or after installation periods to assist with plant preparation and watering.

Keys Responsibilities

  • Prepare planting beds by weeding, loosening soil, and adding soil amendments as directed
  • Unload, transport, and accurately place annual plants according to layout or design plans
  • Perform all aspects of planting, including digging, fertilizing, and initial watering
  • Install plant material efficiently while maintaining quality and meeting project timelines
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment at all job sites
  • Work collaboratively with a team lead and other crew members
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in landscaping, gardening, or physical labor is helpful but not required
  • Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions (lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, standing for extended periods)
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented with a positive attitude
  • Valid and insurable driver’s license, preferred

Expected Schedule & Seasonal Work Windows

This is a part-time, seasonal position. Hours vary by project and season, with work scheduled primarily during the following periods:

  • Spring: March - April (~170 hours)
  • Early Summer: May - June (~220 hours)
  • Fall: September - October (~170 hours)
  • Late Fall/Winter: Mid-November - Late November (~180 hours)

Additional hours may be available before or after these dates to assist with plant staging, preparation, watering, or other related seasonal support tasks as workload allows.
