Seasonal Yard Equipment Operator / Delivery Driver (Non-CDL) – Full Time, $22/hr

Portland Rock is a locally owned landscape supply company serving contractors and homeowners throughout the Portland area. We’re hiring a dependable team member to join our landscape supply yard from April - October. This is a hands-on outdoor job operating equipment, preparing customer orders, and making local deliveries in company trucks.

Training is provided in equipment operation, deliveries, and product knowledge.

Pay & Schedule

Full-Time Position, 35 – 44 hrs per week

Typical schedule:

• 4-5 days per week, Saturdays are required

What You'll Do

Equipment Operation

• Safely operate loaders, excavators, and forklifts
• Load customer vehicles and delivery trucks
• Move and stage landscape materials throughout the yard

Customer Service

• Assist customers with material selection and loading
• Provide friendly and professional service in person and by phone
• Ensure customer orders are accurate and completed efficiently
• Check out customers using the computer to write invoices

Deliveries

• Make local deliveries using pickups, small dump trucks, and trucks with trailers
• Ensure deliveries are safe, accurate, and on schedule
• Maintain a clean driving record and follow safety procedures

Yard Operations

• Prepare and palletize customer orders
• Maintain yard cleanliness and organization
• Assist with labeling, stocking, and inventory counts
• Complete daily yard cleanup and debris removal

Teamwork

• Work closely with coworkers to maintain a safe and efficient yard
• Help where needed to support daily operations
• Promote a positive and professional work environment

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift 90 lbs
• Comfortable working outdoors
• Reliable and punctual
