Job Summary:
Secretary to the General Manager provides high-level administrative and organizational support, ensuring the GM’s office operates efficiently and effectively. This role requires discretion, professionalism, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the General Manager’s calendar, appointments, and meetings, prioritizing and organizing schedules efficiently
- Prepare, proofread, and manage correspondence, reports, presentations, and confidential documents
- Coordinate internal and external communications, including emails, calls, and meetings with stakeholders
- Arrange travel, accommodation, and itineraries for the General Manager
- Take accurate minutes during meetings and follow up on action items
- Maintain confidential records, files, and office systems (both digital and physical)
- Liaise with department heads, staff, and external parties on behalf of the GM
- Assist with administrative tasks, reports, and documentation as required
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in executive secretarial or administrative roles
- Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Professional demeanor, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion at all times
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience supporting senior executives in corporate, F&B, or hospitality sectors
- Familiarity with company operations, reporting, and correspondence standards
- Knowledge of Qatar labor laws and office practices
