The Section Engineer is responsible for supervising and coordinating construction activities within assigned project sections to ensure they are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules. The role involves managing site teams, coordinating subcontractors, resolving technical issues, and ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained throughout the construction process.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure site works are executed in line with the latest approved drawings, specifications, construction programs, and method statements.

Supervise and coordinate Site Engineers, General Foremen, and subcontractors, ensuring proper allocation of manpower, materials, and equipment.

Resolve technical site issues promptly and ensure smooth progress of works.

Ensure completion of required QA/QC documentation and coordinate with the QA team for daily inspections.

Coordinate subcontractor works and conduct regular inspections to ensure quality, compliance, and adherence to schedules.

Identify potential delays or issues and report trends to the Construction Manager for action.

Maintain an updated site diary recording daily activities, manpower, equipment, and any project-impacting events.

Ensure teams are working with the latest approved drawings and submittals.

Oversee proper storage and handling of materials.

Coordinate closely with the Safety Officer to enforce site safety regulations.

Participate in project inspections and handover activities.
Qualifications & Competencies:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Architecture Engineering.

8+ years of experience in civil construction (high-rise building, villa projects etc).

Strong leadership and team supervision skills.

In-depth knowledge of construction methods, logistics, and QA/QC processes.

Good understanding of project control systems and progress reporting.

Excellent communication, documentation, and coordination skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and construction-related software.
