Job Purpose

Responsible for implementing and overseeing security measures, health initiatives, safety protocols, and environmental management systems within the organization to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. Promotes a culture of safety within the organization while minimizing risks associated with workplace hazards.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Design and implement security, health and safety policies and procedures that align with organizational goals while ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
• Build and manage the budget for the security department while ensuring efficient allocation of resources for maximum effectiveness.
• Develop Security Policies to safeguard company assets against theft or damage.
• Conduct investigations into accidents, prepare reports on incidents, identifying root causes, corrective actions taken, and recommendations for future prevention.
• Design training programs for employees on health, safety, security protocols
• Create and maintain emergency response plans for various scenarios including natural disasters, workplace violence, and other crises.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards as well as other relevant local regulations.
• Conduct regular audits of health and safety practices to identify areas for improvement.
• Perform risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace.
• Develop and implement environmental management systems to continually improve the impact of the organization on the environment.
• Write environmental reports, assuming lead responsibility in Tiba.
• Establish documented environmental objectives and targets with its program(s) for implementation.
• Ensure that an environmental management system requirement is implemented.
  
  

What You Will Bring To The Role

Academic and professional qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in security management, Occupational Safety, or a related field
• MBA is preferred
  
  

Experience

• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in health & safety management roles; or experience in security management.
• Strong knowledge of occupational safety & health regulations, risk assessment methodologies, emergency response procedures, and environmental laws.
• Excellent leadership skills.
