We are seeking a motivated and experienced Security Business Development Officer to identify new business opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and support the growth of our security services portfolio. This role is ideal for someone with strong commercial acumen, industry knowledge, and a passion for building long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in the security sector (corporate, government, events, close protection, retail, residential, etc.)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and emerging opportunities
- Prepare and deliver professional proposals, capability presentations, and tender submissions
- Work closely with Operations, Security Management, and Marketing teams to align service offerings with client needs
- Attend industry events, networking functions, and trade exhibitions to promote the company and expand market presence
- Track sales activities, generate reports, and provide regular forecasting to senior management
- Ensure all business development activities align with company values, legal requirements, and industry standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the security industry (preferred)
- Strong understanding of security services such as manned guarding, risk consultancy, events security, and/or close protection
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to build trust and rapport with a wide range of clients and stakeholders
- Self-motivated with strong organisational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required
