Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Security CAD Designer to join our team in White Plains, NY and help design cutting-edge physical security systems—including access control and CCTV/video surveillance. You’ll work closely with sales, operations, and field teams to translate client needs into detailed CAD drawings, technical documentation, and engineered solutions. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and ideal for someone who loves solving problems and creating designs that come to life in the field.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop CAD drawings: security device layouts, wiring diagrams, rack elevations, conduit paths.
  • Create system flow diagrams, submittals, product specifications, and bills of materials.
  • Support project teams with technical details, design reviews, and change requests.
  • Ensure designs meet codes, standards, and client requirements.
  • Stay up to date on new technologies, products, and integration possibilities.
  • Provide field support during installation/commissioning as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1+ year of experience designing access control or CCTV systems.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of low-voltage wiring, device hardware, and network connectivity (IP cameras, access controllers, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have (but not required):

  • Vendor certifications (Lenel, Genetec, Axis, Milestone, etc.) or industry certifications (PSP, CPP, BICSI).
  • Experience with integrated security systems (intrusion, fire, life safety).
  • Basic networking knowledge (IP, VLANs, PoE).

Salary Range: $80,000-$120,000 per year, dependent on experience
