Security Engineer

Job Role Profile:

As a Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions to protect organization's systems, networks, and data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the security and compliance of IT infrastructure and play an essential part in safeguarding our business from cybersecurity threats.

Key Deliverables:

• Security Design and Implementation: Design, deploy, and maintain security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption protocols, to ensure robust protection of the organization's assets.
• Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify and remediate potential security risks and weaknesses in the system.
• Network Security Management: Configure and manage security components for networks, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems, to ensure secure access and connectivity across the organization.
• Incident Response and Monitoring: Monitor for security breaches and respond to security incidents promptly. Lead investigations and work with teams to mitigate threats and minimize impact on the organization.
• Security Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry security standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR) by implementing necessary controls and conducting regular audits and assessments.
• Risk Management and Analysis: Assess and analyze security risks and recommend strategies for mitigating these risks while maintaining operational efficiency.
• Security Awareness and Training: Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees on best practices and the importance of maintaining strong security protocols.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records and documentation of security measures, incidents, and processes. Generate reports for management and regulatory bodies as needed.

Talent Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 2 – 4 Proven experiences as a Security Engineer, Cybersecurity Analyst, or a similar role, with a strong background in designing and implementing security solutions.
• In depth knowledge of security protocols, encryption technologies, and firewall management.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management tools, security monitoring systems, and incident response processes.
• Proficiency in network security (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS) and cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with security standards and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and respond to security incidents efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams and present security information to nontechnical stakeholders.
