Security Engineer

Job Description:

We’re looking for a passionate professional to strengthen our secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) and integrate security best practices into every stage of development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in DevSecOps, secure coding, and vulnerability management — with VAPT skills being a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Embed security controls and automation within CI/CD pipelines to ensure secure application delivery.
• Implement and manage SAST, DAST, and SCA tools to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities early in the development process.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to promote Secure SDLC practices.
• Perform risk and vulnerability assessments, recommend remediation strategies, and track closure.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of DevSecOps frameworks, security policies, and automation workflows.
• Stay current with emerging security threats, tools, and technologies in the DevSecOps and application security domains.
• (Good to have) Conduct occasional vulnerability assessments and penetration testing (VAPT) for deeper security validation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and secure SDLC principles.
• Familiarity with tools like Nessus, Nmap, Metasploit, Burp Suite (good to have) and SAST/DAST solutions.
• Working knowledge of Linux, networking protocols, application security, and cloud security.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical findings and collaborate across teams.
• Preferred certifications: CEH, OSCP, or relevant DevSecOps/AppSec credentials.
