Security Guard

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to protect our premises, assets, and personnel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment through proactive surveillance, conflict management, and adherence to safety protocols. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is highly valued.

Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the property to ensure safety and security of all areas
• Enforce access control policies by verifying identification and issuing visitor passes
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including medical emergencies requiring first aid or CPR if certified
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism and de-escalation techniques
• Document incidents accurately in reports and maintain detailed logs of daily activities
• Assist with loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or vandalism and reporting findings to management
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies at all times

Requirements

• Guard Card
• Valid certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle stressful situations calmly
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to remain alert during long shifts and work independently with minimal supervision
• Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond quickly when needed
• Must pass background checks and adhere to company policies regarding security standards
