Job Summary

The Building Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for occupants, visitors, and property. This includes monitoring premises, controlling access, preventing unauthorized activities, and responding to emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

Security & Safety

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or safety risks
• Ensure all security systems (CCTV, alarms, access controls) are functioning properly
• Control entry and exit of visitors, employees, and vendors
• Enforce building policies and safety regulations

Surveillance & Monitoring

• Continuously observe CCTV cameras and security systems
• Report suspicious activities, incidents, or hazards
• Maintain accurate logs of daily activities and incidents

Emergency Response

• Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire alarms, medical incidents, or security threats
• Assist in evacuation procedures when necessary
• Coordinate with emergency services (police, fire department, ambulance)

Access Control

• Verify identification and authorize entry of personnel and visitors
• Issue visitor badges and maintain visitor records
• Inspect deliveries and verify documentation

Reporting & Documentation

• Write daily reports detailing incidents and activities
• Report maintenance or safety issues to management
• Keep records of inspections and security checks

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in security, military, or law enforcement (preferred)
• Valid security license (if required by local law)
• Basic knowledge of security systems and procedures
• Ability to remain alert and professional at all times

Working Conditions

• Shift-based work (day, night, weekends, holidays)

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,000.00 per hour
