Security Guard

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Guard to safeguard our premises, assets, and personnel. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through vigilant surveillance, prompt incident response, and effective conflict management. Your presence will help deter theft, ensure safety protocols are followed, and foster a sense of security for everyone on site. Responsibilities

• Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity across the premises and identify potential security threats.
• Conduct regular patrols of the property to ensure safety and identify any irregularities or hazards.
• Control access points by verifying identities of visitors, contractors, and employees, ensuring only authorized individuals enter the premises.
• Respond swiftly to alarms or incidents, providing first aid or CPR if necessary, and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency responders when required.
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism and tact, de-escalating disputes to maintain a peaceful environment.
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches for record-keeping and reporting purposes.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious behavior and implementing preventative measures.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV operation and monitoring techniques.
• Ability to perform first aid and CPR confidently in emergency situations.
• Experience or background in law enforcement, military service, or security roles is highly advantageous.
• Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Familiarity with security protocols, loss prevention strategies, and emergency response procedures.
• Effective communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members and emergency responders.

Pay: $16.90 - $18.00 per hour
