As an Airport Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Kailua Kona, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic government airport location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support travelers and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Job Schedule:

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 21+ years of age
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and nearby surroundings for unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, and/or unattended items, and report observations according to post orders.
• Document incidents, patrol activity, and noteworthy observations in required logs and/or reports, and follow Allied Universal procedures for escalating concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
