Security Man

Job Summary:
The Plain-Clothes Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for preventing theft, minimizing losses, and protecting company assets by working undercover as a regular customer within the store. The officer observes suspicious activities, identifies shoplifters, gathers evidence, and assists in the lawful apprehension of offenders in accordance with company policies and local laws.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in plain clothes and blend in with customers to monitor store activities discreetly.
• Observe and identify suspicious behavior, shoplifting, and other fraudulent activities.
• Conduct covert surveillance and monitor high-risk areas of the store.
• Gather and document evidence, including incident reports and witness statements.
• Detect and prevent internal and external theft, fraud, and inventory shrinkage.
• Coordinate with uniformed security personnel and management during incidents.
• Lawfully detain suspected offenders in accordance with company procedures and local regulations.
• Assist law enforcement authorities when required and provide necessary information and evidence.
• Prepare detailed reports on theft incidents, investigations, and security observations.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
• Support the implementation of loss prevention and security policies.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in retail security, loss prevention, or investigations is preferred.
• Strong observation, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to remain alert and work discreetly in a retail environment.
• Knowledge of security procedures and local laws relating to theft and detention.
• Ability to handle stressful situations professionally and calmly.
• Physically fit and able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• High level of integrity, honesty, and confidentiality.

Objective:
To reduce theft and inventory losses by proactively identifying and preventing shoplifting and other security incidents while ensuring a safe and secure shopping environment.

Pay: QAR1,300.00 - QAR1,400.00 per month
