Security Manager - Data Center

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Security Manager to oversee and coordinate security operations within a mission-critical data center facility in Izmir, Turkey. This role will serve as the central point of ownership and accountability for all on-the-ground security functions, ensuring a safe, compliant, and resilient environment for people, assets, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the daily management of the data center security program, ensuring alignment with corporate security objectives, policies, and standards.
• Oversee and manage a wide range of security vendors, including both systems and personnel, to maintain high levels of service and compliance.
• Recruit, organize, and manage an on-site uniformed security team, fostering a culture of professionalism, vigilance, and accountability.
• Direct performance management, education, and training programs related to physical security, safety controls, processes, and day-to-day operational practices.
• Maintain proactive relationships with local first responders, government agencies, and regulatory bodies to ensure readiness, compliance, and effective incident response.
• Continuously assess and improve security processes, ensuring best practices are applied to risk mitigation and operational resilience.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience managing security operations in critical infrastructure environments, preferably within data centers or similar high-security facilities.
• Strong knowledge of physical security systems, technologies, and industry standards.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to recruit, manage, and motivate diverse teams.
• Experience managing security vendors and service contracts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, law enforcement, and government agencies.
