Security Officer

The Dispensary - Cassville is currently hiring for a full-time Security Officer. Applicants should have previous experience working within private security, Military, or Law Enforcement. The candidate must be reliable, confident, and have excellent awareness and attention to detail.

Duties WILL include:

• Monitoring and controlling access to the facility in accordance with State Rules and Regulations.
• Greeting customers, creating customer and patient profiles in our Point of Sale System with attention to detail and accuracy, and updating profiles as needed.
• De-escalating heated conversations/interactions during the day.
• Monitoring for theft/compliance violations.
• Examining government issued identification and verifying Missouri Medical Marijuana cards for validity.
• Maintaining access logs of all customers, patients, vendors, contractors, visitors, and any other persons in and out of the dispensary in compliance with state rules and regulations.
• Conducting routine patrols and inspections of the dispensary and grounds.
• Maintain daily written and/or electronic tracking sheets, noting all activity on premises
• Document any incidents, accidents, and report them to the Security Manager.
• Maintain cleanliness of Dispensary.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be available to work weekends
• Must have reliable transportation
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• 1+ years’ experience in private or public security or asset protection, or law enforcement, or Military.
• Ability to maintain attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively as team member, and independently
• Ability to communicate clearly, calmly, and politely at all times
• Ability to maintain composure in periods of high stress or unusual activity
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, absolute reliability and honesty
• Extended time standing, sitting, walking, bending, and reaching
• Able to pass a state-mandated background check
• Adhere to all company policies and state regulations
• Maintain positive attitude and polite conversation with patients from varying backgrounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
