Job Purpose

The Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding the facility’s assets, personnel, and intellectual property. In a manufacturing context, this goes beyond standard patrolling; it involves managing complex logistics, ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols, and mitigating risks specific to industrial operations (e.g., hazardous material theft or industrial espionage).

Key Responsibilities.

Access Control & Gate Management

  • Personnel Screening: Manage entry and exit points for employees, contractors, and visitors using biometric systems or manual logs.
  • Logistics Oversight: Inspect delivery trucks, raw material shipments, and outgoing finished goods. Verify gate passes and Delivery Notes (DN) to prevent inventory shrinkage.
  • Vehicle Inspection: Conduct thorough underside and cabin checks of vehicles entering sensitive production zones.

Surveillance & Patrolling

  • Perimeter Security: Conduct regular foot or mobile patrols of the warehouse, production floor, and perimeter fences to identify breaches or safety hazards.
  • CCTV Monitoring: Operate and monitor the Command Center (CCTV, Fire Alarm Panels, and Intrusion Detection Systems).
  • Technical Reporting: Maintain daily occurrence logs (DOR) and incident reports using digital security management software.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Support

  • Emergency Response: Act as a first responder during fire alarms, chemical spills, or medical emergencies.
  • PPE Compliance: Ensure all staff and visitors are wearing mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (High-vis vests, steel-toed boots, helmets) before entering the factory floor.
  • Fire Safety: Conduct regular inspections of fire extinguishers, hose reels, and emergency exits to ensure they are unobstructed and functional.

Loss Prevention & Compliance

  • Theft Mitigation: Conduct random locker checks or body frisks (where permitted by policy) to prevent the pilferage of small components or high-value tools.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all security operations comply with SIRA (Dubai) or ASSD (Abu Dhabi) regulations and UAE Federal Laws.

Required Qualifications & Skills Requirement Description Licensing - Valid SIRA (Security Industry Regulatory Agency) license is mandatory. Education High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience 2–5 years of security experience, specifically within a factory or large-scale warehouse in the UAE. Languages Proficiency in English (spoken/written). Knowledge of Hindi, or Arabic is a significant advantage for managing a diverse workforce. Physical Fitness Ability to stand for long periods and patrol in high-temperature environments (UAE summer conditions).Technical Proficiencies

  • Security Systems: Experience with metal detectors, and Integrated Security Management Systems (ISMS).
  • Safety Standards: Familiarity with ISO 9001 & GMP and basic Firefighting/First Aid certification.
  • IT Literacy: Basic use of MS Office for reporting and incident logging.

Pay: AED1,200.00 - AED1,800.00 per hour
