About the Role Specialists in Dermatology is hiring a dependable, observant Security Officer to help keep our main office safe, clean, and welcoming during staff arrival and departure hours. You'll be the friendly, watchful presence our team sees at the start and end of each day, escorting employees to and from their vehicles, keeping the premises tidy, and making sure the area around the facility is secure before and after business hours.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 6:30 AM – 7:30 AM
• Monday–Thursday: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Select Saturday mornings: 6:30 AM – 7:30 AM

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible security presence during staff arrival and departure windows
• Escort staff members between their vehicles and the facility entrance
• Patrol the parking lot, entrances, and surrounding perimeter
• Ensure the exterior of the building and surrounding area are free of trash and debris
• Monitor the premises for unauthorized individuals, loitering, or anyone sleeping on or near the property, and respond in a calm, professional manner
• Contact local authorities or outreach services when appropriate
• Report any incidents, safety concerns, or maintenance issues to practice management
• Maintain a professional, courteous demeanor with staff, patients, and the public

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the full schedule
• Physically able to walk, stand, and patrol for the duration of each shift in various weather conditions
• Calm, respectful, and able to de-escalate situations professionally
• Strong observational skills and good judgment
• Clear communication skills, both verbal and written
• Clean background check
• Valid driver's license

Preferred (Not Required)

• Current or previous state-issued security guard license/certification
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
