As a Security Officer Access Point Officer in East Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control professional at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming environment. You will help to deter security-related incidents through visible presence, strong communication, and attentive site awareness. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, review visitor and delivery access requests, and document site activity in accordance with post orders and client guidelines.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured access points, and other security-related concerns that could help to deter unauthorized access.
• Communicate with site personnel, transportation staff, and/or visitors regarding access procedures, screening expectations, and restricted areas while supporting orderly traffic flow at gates and receiving areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
