Security Officer (armed and unarmed)

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer, capable of performing both armed and unarmed security duties, to safeguard our facilities, personnel, and assets. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through vigilant surveillance, conflict management, and emergency response. Your expertise in law enforcement principles, CCTV monitoring, and loss prevention will ensure the safety and integrity of our operations. Responsibilities

• Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and conduct regular surveillance to identify suspicious activity or security breaches.
• Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to incidents or emergencies, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations when necessary.
• Conduct patrols of the premises on foot or via vehicle to ensure physical security measures are intact and functioning properly.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or vandalism and reporting incidents according to established protocols.
• Provide first aid and CPR when needed, ensuring immediate assistance during medical emergencies until professional help arrives.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents requiring official intervention.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; training will be provided if necessary.
• Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems and conducting physical patrols.
• Knowledge of conflict management techniques and effective communication skills for de-escalating tense situations.
• Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and security procedures to protect assets effectively.
• Ability to remain alert for extended periods while maintaining professionalism and focus.
