As a Security Officer - Building Patrol, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this role, you will support daily operations through clear communication, routine patrols, and teamwork, while reflecting a caring, agile, reliable, innovative culture built on integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, property concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with property management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points, observe on-site activity, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity to help support property operations and help to deter unwanted behavior.
• Assist with addressing tenant and visitor inquiries, support daily building operations, and complete required reports related to incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
