Job Description

As a Security Officer -Court Screener in Delray Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Government Screener where you are the first point of contact at a high-visibility location. You will help manage entry by screening visitors and belongings, verifying credentials, monitoring cameras and alarms, and documenting security-related activity. You will communicate clearly, provide customer service, and support public-facing operations with integrity. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Conduct entrance screening operations, including monitoring walk-through detection equipment and/or hand-held wands, inspecting bags and packages as permitted, and verifying identification and access authorization.
Control access by directing visitors through sign-in processes, issuing temporary credentials when assigned, managing queues, and communicating entry requirements and prohibited items in a professional manner.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site personnel and/or emergency services as directed and documenting events per post orders.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas such as entry points, lobbies, and nearby perimeter zones when directed, reporting unusual conditions and/or maintenance concerns through the chain of command.

Minimum Requirements:

Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military or graduate of police academy
Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice
Must possess 5 or more years of security related experience
Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Must possess unarmed class d security license
Be 21 or more years of age.
CPR Certification is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
