Job Description

As a Airport Security Officer - Curbside Patrol in Kahului, HI, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and airport facilities. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with the public, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements

Valid Driver's License
21+ years of age
Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government airport location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting and reporting observations per post orders.
Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, parking areas, access roads, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor access points and restricted areas by observing activity, verifying credentials when directed, and communicating concerns to appropriate personnel.
Support orderly operations by assisting with wayfinding, coordinating with onsite staff and/or local authorities as needed, and maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
