What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Operate walk-through metal detectors, hand wands, and X-ray screening equipment to help identify prohibited items; resolve alarms in a calm, service-focused manner.
Control access at entry points by verifying identification, processing visitors, issuing badges and/or passes, and directing individuals to the appropriate destination.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying the appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
Conduct periodic checks of screening areas, queues, and nearby entry corridors to help identify unusual activity, maintain order, and report concerns per post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.
Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or have a college degree in Criminal Justice.
Mininimum of 5 years of security related experience
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Graduate of Public Safety Academy
Customer service experience is preferred.
A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
