As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Driving Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, entrances, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, theft-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to site contacts and local authorities when appropriate.
• Complete required reports and maintain detailed records of patrol activity, incidents, and/or observations while communicating clearly with site management, coworkers, and emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
