As a Security Officer - Part Time - Mornings in Rockford, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will perform vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will use your valid driver's license to move between areas, support store teams, and deliver a welcoming customer experience. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a retail store and surrounding areas.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical situations, disturbances, and/or suspicious activity, and communicating updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, stock areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter theft, loitering, and/or other unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Monitor doors, receiving areas, and other assigned points for access control, observing for policy compliance and reporting concerns according to post orders.
Complete reports and logs, document incidents, and preserve observations for follow-up, including coordinating with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when requested.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A Guard Card/License is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
