Job Description

As a Security Officer - Patrol in Espanola, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will assist team members and customers with clear communication, document observations, and respond professionally to concerns. Guided by a caring culture that puts people first, you will deliver through teamwork, act with integrity, and adapt with agile, reliable, innovative service.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including customer concerns, disturbances, medical situations, and/or fire alarms.
Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floor areas, storefront entrances, stock areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify potential issues and/or policy violations.
Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, and report suspicious activity to site leadership and/or local authorities as required by post orders.
Complete detailed written and/or electronic reports, document incidents, and communicate key information to Allied Universal management and site representatives during shift changes.

Minimum Requirements:

Client requires proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton are preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
