As a Security Officer Patrol Assistant in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach while bringing an agile, reliable, and innovative mindset to every shift.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related activities throughout the retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or public emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of storefronts, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for unauthorized activity, policy violations, and/or potential maintenance concerns, and document observations according to site procedures.
• Assist with emergency response activities, crowd management, and/or directional support during busy periods, special events, and other location needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
