As a Security Officer Patrol Services in Fredericksburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. At a healthcare location, Allied Universal Security Officers conduct routine unarmed patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and clear communication. In this caring, fast-paced role, you will use teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach while helping create a welcoming environment and responding to security-related concerns with reliability and professionalism.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related screening support, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry points, visitor activity, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support the orderly flow of people throughout the location.
• Assist with alarms, medical-related calls for assistance, and other urgent situations by communicating with site contacts, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
